Have you ever dreamed of becoming Lord or Lady of your own medieval Castle? With so many occasions left uncelebrated during Covid restrictions hosting your family and friends in spacious splendour in our 12th century Castle in North Cork might well be a dream come true. We have limited availability remaining in 2022 for self catering short rentals with the option to hire in catering – ideal for extended families or groups of friends.

Our 9 comfortable, individually designed suites sleeping 23 guests (each with their own bathroom) ensure you can have complete privacy in your own sleeping quarters while all the socialising can take place in our 6 reception rooms (including private bar) and around the grounds of the estate.

Self cater entirely in our fully equipped kitchen and private bar (which you can stock yourselves) or choose from a range of local cooks, chefs, and catering companies who can provide a full service or simply drop off your order.

Set on 65 acres, our extensive woodlands with private river and Walled Garden allow for rambles without having to travel and provide plenty of adventurous play areas for children.  Doneraile National Park is a mere 15 minutes drive from the Castle while further afield Blarney Castle, Cork City, and the beaches of East Cork are less than an hour away.

Blackwater Castle is located between the towns of Mallow and Fermoy and within walking distance of the heritage village of Castletownroche where your day to day needs (pharmacy, supermarket, post office, 3 pubs, churches etc.) are met with a smile.
