Salmon (best stretches mainly between Mallow and Lismore), sea trout, brown trout, but large quantities of dace, roach, perch and pike in some parts. Best fishing strictly preserved. Big runs of spring salmon from Feb to April; grilse June to Sept; and often good run of autumn salmon during Aug and Sept. Sea trout in Blackwater and Bride, June onwards.

River Awbeg

Especially the silence at our premises makes it possible to dedicate yourself many hours to your passion of fishing. Undisturbed located in a forested valley you will appreciate the clear and fish-rich water of the River Awbeg. Especially Fly-fishing is a popular way to catch the brown trout, which is very common in this river. After rainy winter months you can also catch salmon on their way to the mountains up from the River Blackwater (February to April). You need no fishing license on our property, but on your trips to other fishing locations a legitimation (oftern locally available) is needed.
